We were invited to visit the new Finca Natura near Alora in sunny
We flew into Malaga Airport and drove off to the agreed rendezvous
with Andy our host for the week.
From the RV point we drove about 7 km into the Campo (countryside)
along a dry riverbed - it wasn't too scary and the hire car coped
The Finca itself is built around a courtyard that contains the pool,
the new hot tub, the bar and the outdoor dining area.
The 3 rooms are built around the pool
surround. Each room is finished and furnished to a high standard with
TVs, comfortable furnishing and are maintained to a high standard.
The accommodation is only available on a full board basis .... and
you will be full! Andy is a pretty fair cook and he gets lots of help.
At Lunchtime he works with his assistant Gabi to produce a range of
salads or a paella to keep away the hunger pains of having nothing since
breakfast 3 hours before!
Ana comes in most evenings to cook dinner and her inspiration comes
from her Mauritian back ground and Spanish upbringing .. belly busting
portions were on offer every day.
The beer and wine flows freely through-out the day.
Despite 2 days of rain we had a great time. We read and chilled and
chatted to Andy and the other guests and ate.
This is not a holiday for lovers of busy towns and clubs.
If you just like to get away from it all in very peaceful surrounding
and look at stars that go right down to the horizon give Andy a call!
