Playa de Ingles

Barry also went to the Canaries

I had a week on my own this summer. The naturist beach is a short walk along to the west and merges gently into the textile area. In fact all modes from fully clothed to fully nude are found here. Everyone just rubbed along together. I usually stopped near beach kiosk no 8 and the Red Cross hut. The kiosk does drinks and food at reasonable prices. The beach was mostly sandy with a few small pebbles and the sea was warm with waves breaking.

This area seemed a little more refined than the Maspalomas end of the beach.

I noted that the big "Playa Nudista" signs are gone from both ends of the beach. Now there are small signs back from the shoreline, virtually unnoticeable amongst the beachgoers.

Then this turns up ......

Hi Ted

I hadn't realised the following:
"The nude beach has moved from it's location next to the Gay beach to a section of the beach on the eastern side of the point. There is a beach cafe/bar kiosk on the beach. It is now much closer to Playa del Ingles and located to the south east of the Riu Maspalomas Palace hotel"

This was the beach I used, and didn't know of the change as this was my first stay in PDI. The kiosk in this area is No6 I think. So, it would seem that if you are walking from Maspalomas then you have a long trek!
